The Dirty 100 is a 100 mile trail run that is unsupported, unsanctioned, and involves showing up and running. The main group will start together, but there is no obligation to finish together. You are essentially on your own for over 160km of remote trail running so plan accordingly. Drop bags can be stored in a car at each checkpoint. We will try to have one car at each checkpoint.

The Route
The route consists of 6 stages, with 3 drop bag locations. The below Excel spreadheet, which can be downloaded, provides details of each leg and some very rough estimated completion times. I have also provided the GPX tracks from the entire course and all of the legs individually.
Leg 1: Mount Allen
Starting at Deadman’s Flatts parking area early in the morning, this leg has the most elevation gain and consists of a climb up Mount Allen and down the backside to Kananaskis Lodge where we will have the option for drop bags. Based on the start time, just as you summit the sun will be rising.
Leg 2: Buller Pass
Leaving Kananaskis Lodge up Ribbon Creek and over Buller Pass, then some up and down single track around Highline and into Shark Mountain parking where you will have another drop bag and facilities.
Leg 3: Wonder Pass
Leaving Shark Mountain lot up a long stretch of wide cross country ski trails, along Bryant Creek, then around the back side of Marvel Lake and the climb up Wonder Pass, entering BC, and finishing down the backside down to Assiniboine Lodge.
Leg 4: Nub Peak
This is an optional leg, but arguably the most scenic. Lots of climbing up to the nublet, then along the ridge to Nub Peak and an epic view of Mount Assiniboine. Then back down to the trail. For those looking to skip this, you can keep running towards Sunshine Village and skip the 11km detour.
Leg 5: Citadel Pass
Likely this run will be entirely in the dark. Its starts as a nice easy run on single track through the meadows to Lake Og, through the Valley of Giants, and have one of the most strenuous climbs up Citadel Pass. Passing back into Alberta and the nice run through Sunshine Meadows down into Sunshine Village Ski lodge.
Leg 6: Healy Pass
Leaving Sunshine Village, back up to the Great Divide Trail, bug climb up Healy Pass, along Egypt and Scarab Lakes and on to Shadow Lake for a final cruise on single track path back down towards the Red Earth Parking lot off Highway 1.
